My approach is a documentary, reportage style of photography, used to record your special day as it happens. Whilst also being adaptable and dynamic, in that I am able to adjust or tweak my style to your requirements or provide a nice balance of show stopping portrait wedding photography, whilst still capturing images with a real-life feel mirroring your memories as if you are truly frozen in the moment.
Photographing weddings is a joy and my passion. Capturing happy couples having a great time with the people who mean the most to them. What’s not to love? It’s an emotional day, for sure. And to be chosen to capture those emotions as they unfold through this most special day is truly an honour. I truly love what I do, and there is no greater pleasure than handing over a set of images to a couple and for them to love them.

Natural Story Telling Wedding Photography
Weddings are about family, friends, fun and emotion. My approach on the day is to allow you to enjoy your wedding free from interruptions and staged moments. Couples often comment that their favourite pictures from their wedding day are those that capture those candid real moments that happen throughout the day, and encapsulate the emotions of the moment to cherish forever.
So I won’t rush you, and I won’t be keeping you from your party. You guys get on and let me capture the anticipation, the romance and the fun of the occasion: in authentic, vibrant and beautiful photographs that tell the story of your day.
I want you to look at your wedding photos and relive what it actually felt like to be there, from one moment to the next. What I try to do is encapsulate the emotion of the moment to cherish forever.
Relaxed Couples Portraits
Every wedding is beautiful and it’s important to capture that. I love to create stunning relaxed portraits of you on your wedding day. I like to focus on the connection between you as a couple and create natural relaxed portraits.
I’m a pretty chilled out guy, and I try bring that calming chill with me whenever I photograph, it all helps people relax and ultimately helps me take better pictures. And don’t worry, I have plenty of tricks of my sleeve to make you laugh and smile for your portraits, so you’re free from awkward posing with fake smiles! My focus is to be capturing real smiles, real emotion and genuine moments.
Wedding Venues & Destinations
The UK is blessed with wonderful wedding venues that look great all year round. There really is no shortage of options to suit all tastes: from urban chic, to rustic, rural idylls; Medieval churches to ultra-modern cityscapes; tipis to town halls; traditional to quirky.
Whilst I am a Northamptonshire based wedding photographer, I do also love the opportunity to travel further afield and discover the delights of wedding spaces up and down the country.

How much does a wedding photographer cost UK?Wedding photography prices can largely vary depending on the region and experience of the photographer. The average price for a wedding photographer for 2019 - 2021 is £1,590. My pre set wedding packages start at £549 for a basic package only covering the ceremony, up to £1,349 for full day coverage from prep to party with 2 photographers. The reason my prices are below the average paid in the UK, is because unlike many wedding photographers who have decades of experience shooting weddings, i've only been shooting weddings for 4-5 years. I still offer the highest quality of wedding photography and have experience shooting many weddings, but I am also aware that I am still learning! So feel it would not be fair to charge the same as somebody who has been photographing weddings for the last 20 years.

Why are wedding photographers so expensive?Many things go in to pricing a wedding photography package, some of these include time shooting, time editing, travel & package items e.g wedding albums, framed prints ect... A photographer could take dozens of photos seconds apart to avoid missing a particular moment or they might be much more selective with each shot they take, which involve their expertise to set up and get right. So a wedding photographer can choose anywhere between 50-300 photos per hour. Meaning there are hundreds, and often thousands of images to sort through, catalogue, and edit in sometimes 2 different programmes. The editing process takes anywhere between 2-6 weeks on average depending on the total amount of images taken. You are also paying for the expertise of a photographer, who has spent many years studying and learning the craft of photography, and the niché of wedding photography. This involves much more than clicking the button on the camera. This involves planning and packing the suitable equipment for that particular wedding, planning the photography around the day, setting up shots, photo composition, lighting, and many other aspects that form the art of wedding photography.

Do I have professional insurance cover?Yes Absolutely - As a professional wedding photographer I have full insurance cover, and the all important Public Liability Cover which many Wedding Venues insist on viewing before they allow you to work on site. This means that my insurance would trigger if something occurred injuring someone. For example, if someone walked into my camera lens and hurt themselves. It might sound minor but this is important to the wedding venue's management and for your guests.

What would happen if I'm suddenly taken ill or an emergency means I cannot attend?Do not worry - If I'm suddenly taken ill or have an emergency, I will do my utmost to organise a high quality replacement. I would only organise a replacement that I knew would capture the most amazing photographs that I will then edit myself. That said, it would be highly unlikely to occur. If something happened to my primary camera or some crucial equipment, then again fear not as I have plenty of spares in short notice or my insurance would simply provide replacements rapidly. Also as a professional, I'm often working with other leading Photographers so we would always help each other out in emergencies. So we are triple covered with spares, insurance and colleagues.

What happens if your Memory Card fails?This is a common question to professional wedding photographers and easily answered, in that the Camera has two cards, so if one fails the other will have a RAW copy. And once home are immediately loaded to a back up, so there are multiple copies.

Can I view your photography?Of course, this website has some photographs covering weddings and all my other professional shoots. That provides a good impression of my work. Although the website doesn't show the high resolutions images as they take far too long to load so every image is heavy reduced in quality. I'd love to sit and show you my work in person, so please come and have a coffee at your convenience. I have plenty of hard copy high quality images to show you. Can I have a second wedding photographer?Absolutely, but this must be organised via myself as you don't want two strangers turning up getting in each others way or missing crucial photographs. I have my partner as a second photographer, but often invite other professional wedding photographers I've had the pleasure of working with in the past and have a clear plan so we team up seamlessly.

Can I request specific photographs?Absolutely - I'm a wedding photographer so I have 1,000s of photos up my sleeve, but you're in charge throughout, so what you want I'll do my absolute best to provide. So if you want a series of family shots taken or you'd like to explore the grounds for variety I'll happily capture these for you.

Do I get a Wedding Album or Prints included in the Package?Of course, all of my pre set packages include complimentary prints, and most include complimentary albums, plus other extras and goodies.

Will all images be edited?Yes, all images will be edited to the highest standard.

If there are more photographs than the amount stated in my chosen package, will I receive these too?Yes, you will receive all images that are usable. Exceptions include blurry images or images with people blinking or photographic error. You will receive all other images taken, which will be fully edited.

Will we meet you before the big day?Of course! I offer free consultation meetings with all potential clients, this is where we meet for a coffee, and discuss exactly what you're looking for. We will also meet to finalise details, if you wish to proceed with a package.
